Today’s featured artist is Greg McDougal. A former mainstream country artist, Greg found himself in a situation with sick children and a place where he reflected on his life and his music. This story is for anyone, but if you’re a parent as I am, you’ll perhaps have a deeper understanding of Greg’s heart-wrenching circumstances.

I caught up with Becky a couple weeks ago and had a chat with her on the phone. Her message is for everyone, from recording artists, to radio personnel, to the listener at home. She also told me about a very personal tragedy that happened in her life, and how God was, and still is, active in her and the people around her. It’s a great story of a real life situation. Please have a listen…

In this program, I play two of Becky’s songs. “Child of My Heart” is a duet with Tommy Brandt and won them the 2006 Agape Fest “Duo of the Year” award, and “Momma Would Be Proud” which tells a real-life story from Becky’s life.
