Riverside Country

After scoring 5 nominations at GMA Canada’s 29th Annual Covenant Awards held October 26th, in Calgary, Alberta, High Valley brought home 2 wins, which included “Country/Bluegrass Song Of The Year” for “Back To You” (one of my personal favourites) and “Country/Bluegrass Album Of The Year”. Now the guys have announced a mini-tour with Paul Brandt coming up shortly in November. This will be a great concert, and is already sold out in 2 of the 3 locations. So, if you get a chance to go, take it!

The Bellamy Brothers: Jesus Is Coming

Bellamy Brothers are receiving strong support for their brand new CD, Jesus Is Coming. The dynamic brother duo, The Legendary Bellamy Brothers, got a tremendous response at the duo’s Grand Ole Opry appearance. The Gospel Music Channel was backstage to capture The Bellamy Brother’s performance and get an interview with Howard and David on their tour bus.

While in Nashville for the Opry, The Bellamy Brothers made good use of their time with several other media interviews. They stopped by the studio of WKDF, The Wolf, and spent an hour with morning show host, Shannon McCombs. They also did radio interviews for XM Radio, Associated Press Radio, Huntsman Entertainment, and stopped by the office of Country Aircheck for a visit with editor, Lon Helton and staff.  Then there were Christian interviews with Homecoming Magazine, Christian Music Planet, and Power Source Music Magazine.

Brad Cotter: Fingerprints Of Faith

Brad Cotter sees the hand of God in everything he does. Nominated this year for the Christian Country Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year ICM Awards, it is an honor that still amazes him. “I am humbled by this honor and honestly don’t have a clue as to why it’s happened” he said recently during an interview for Power Source Magazine. Having been told all of his life he was “blessed with talent,” it is refreshing to find this lifelong entertainer filled with wonder at his nomination.

Cotter’s single, “God’s Fingerprints,” is the first release from his Adobe Road Records CD Continuity, and was produced by veteran singer/songwriter Gary Cotton. It’s a song that personally resonates to the very foundation of Cotter’s soul, who began his musical career as a Gospel-singing prodigy at age 9. The song was “a gift” says Cotter. He had no idea he would find such a song, one that he feels was especially written for him.
